Site redesign & development

Transforming Brightfox, a proptech company providing technical solutions to the property industry. An end to end redesign of the website and branding to increase leads.

Website redesign

Problem

Brightfox is a software company that has established itself within the proptech industry. The goal of this project was a complete redesign of the company website to generate more leads. The previous website was built on Umbraco and had not been updated in 5+ years, meaning that there was definitely some room for changes. My role was to oversee the project from design to development.

Solution

Spanning over one month, I was involved in creating mockups of potential designs based on the client’s needs, creating stylised image content of the company products being used, and then implementing the website.

I used the Adobe Creative Suite as my main design tool – XD for mockups, Photoshop/Illustrator to create product examples, and Premiere Pro for video editing. Development wise, I used Nuxt.js and Tailwind CSS to build the website.

One of the main challenges was to keep the majority of the text content as per the client’s request. Seeing as there was a large amount of text content to work with, my approach was to present the information in a way that was not only visually appealing but accessible to the user. An emphasis was put on imagery since the best way to sell a product is to show it. The old case studies were binned and more recent ones were displayed instead. I kept the overall design simple and kept the original colour scheme, orange, but branched out with different shades to add more depth and dimension.
